About My Blog

As a college student it's hard to make time for things that I really enjoy. This is about the crazy, busy life that I lead as a student. I have a passion for many things, but my most loved activity is filming.

Sisters, Life, and Cake

Hello Lovelies,

I just have to say how proud I am of my sister. She is truly a precious gem. She is currently in Culinary school and this week she entered a cake into a cake decorating competition. She didn't win, but the point is that she tried her hardest and actually put herself out there. I don't say this to her enough, and it's not like she's gonna see this post, but I'm very proud of the wonderful woman she has become.

Growing up it was just the two of us. We were supposed to also have a big brother, but sadly he never made it into this world. We were both bullied all throughout school, so our only friends were each other and a few girls from church. I know that I'm younger, and the younger sister is supposed to be the one being looked after, but I've always been the one looking after her.

In her ninth grade year she met a wonderful boy who didn't have a good family life. They started dating, and my parents (they have huge hearts) took him in. He moved into my sister's room, and she and I shared a room from then on. Then they got married two days before they graduated from high school. It wasn't much just our family, his mom, and the preacher's wife and daughter. The next year for their first anniversary they renewed there vows out on an island in the middle of Lake Ouachita. It was beautiful.

Nearly a year later a couple of days after his 21st birthday the two of them went out and partied with friends. When she refused to ride home with him since he was drunk and it was an hour long drive home he left. He killed himself that night. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him, and I think the same goes for my lovely sister. She'll never say it though. Her new husband is jealous of a dead man.

I just want to dedicate this post to my sister. She's stronger than most people believe and she has the biggest heart. Here are some pictures from her cake competition. Her cake is the Mickey Mouse cake, and yes, that is her standing with it. (Doesn't she look so cute in her school uniform?!?!) She didn't win but she had some pretty tough competition.

Farewell my loves.

  3. Trust me, no you do not. It's fake. The "cake" parts are styrofoam, but the decorations are edible!
